Requirements

  • Familiarity with basic machine repair (i.e. stamping presses, forging presses, injection mold machines, and/or other industrial equipment)
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
  • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
  • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.

Nice To Haves

  • Rigging, welding, and industrial machinery experience a plus
  • Prior Hilo, Forklift, or Crane experience a plus
  • CDL-A license a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with disassembling, replacing, and repairing stamping presses and other industrial equipment.
  • Provide assistance with rigging equipment to move presses when necessary (overhead cranes, Hi-Lo's, gantries, etc.)
  • Use precision measurement equipment to help troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair presses and other industrial equipment.
  • Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards.
  • Work with other departments as needed.
