We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Machine Reliability Specialist to oversee the performance and reliability of packaging equipment across our bottling line, stick pack line, and blister line in a dietary supplement manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring optimal equipment uptime, reducing unplanned downtime, and driving continuous improvement in line efficiency and product quality. The Machine reliability specialist will be the site subject matter expert for mechanical and electrical system of all packaging equipment inside out This position report to the site Maintenance and Manufacturing Technology Manager Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for all packaging lines. Identify the top downtime troubles on the machine and generate PM's and a detail rebuilt for that equipment so that the problems do not happen again. Is able to fix mechanically and electrically all packaging equipment Ensure all packaging line achieve the targeted production uptime Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Put a detail parts list together for all the rebuilt that the equipment needs. Lead reliability-centered maintenance initiatives and support capital improvement projects. Maintain accurate records of equipment history, maintenance activities, and reliability metrics. Train operators and maintenance personnel on best practices for equipment care and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and safety regulations in all maintenance and reliability activities. Support validation and qualification of new equipment or modifications to existing systems. Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food packaging.
  • Strong knowledge of bottling, stick pack, and blister packaging machinery.
  • Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and reliability tools (e.g., FMEA, RCA, TPM).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, OSHA).
  • Familiarity with Sanitary design, pneumatic systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent trouble shooting capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Reliability Engineering (CRE), Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), or similar.
  • Experience with automation and controls (PLC troubleshooting, sensors, actuators).
