This position is responsible for programing the Machine Center based on the production schedule. Must know how to adjust current programs and create new programs from the beginning. This position has a high level of responsibility and constant communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; College degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of machine Programmer experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Kval programming software, machine templates and ability to read geometric drawings
  • Understanding of office information flow
  • High level of math skill/aptitude; change fractions and decimals
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to pick up new programs quickly; AX experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization and paperwork skills
  • High level of responsibility and concentration
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have high attention to detail and quality
  • Expect to learn to run the machine and cross train in other machining departments
  • Be able to machine in other departments during times of low programming volume.
  • Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Work on a computer
  • Use a Tape Measure, Caliper
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals (Exceptional math abilities are a must.)
  • Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions
  • Ability to do small repairs on doors

Responsibilities

  • Upload programs to machines on floor
  • Review to ensure correct templates are attached to the Production Specification Sheets and verify that no conflicts exist
  • Online research for templates as needed
  • Creates program templates as manufacturer hardware changes
  • Coordinate the activities between departments against the daily deadlines
  • Anticipate upcoming production needs and provide support to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Constant communication with customer service, scheduling and plant production
  • Follow safety and process procedure
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor/management
  • Answer customer emails
  • Communicate with Customer Service on issues with machine location, status of doors, types of hardware
  • Assist Quality team to validate/deny machining claims and assist in RCCA or CAPA’s to prevent the issues from reoccurring.
