About The Position

A Machine Operator is responsible for leading machine set-ups and changeovers, troubleshooting and adjusting machines, and inspecting and packaging finished products according to customer specifications. The role also involves operating various coating, finishing, and powered industrial vehicles to move products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine set-up and changeover of machines, making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.
  • Run orders per product specifications and standard practices, including sorting, labeling, and packaging products per customer specifications.
  • Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools.
  • Understand and implement quality standards and procedures.
  • Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel.
  • Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
  • Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes.
  • Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and ship material and/or finished products.
  • Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies.
  • Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals.
  • Participate in team decision-making processes including problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide support in project work and other special requests.
