As a Machine Operator at Wright Engineered Plastics, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that quality parts are produced efficiently and safely. Your primary responsibilities will include following work instructions meticulously to maintain high standards of production, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring that your workstation is clean and organized. You will be expected to maintain cycle times and report any inefficiencies to the process technician or supervisor, as well as recognize and record any rejects during production. This position requires a commitment to following IQMS and ISO standards, which are essential for maintaining the quality and safety of the manufacturing process. In addition to your technical skills, effective communication is vital in this role. You will need to communicate clearly with both your relief operator and your supervisor, especially when assistance is required. The ability to recognize safety issues and report them promptly is also a key aspect of this position. You will be responsible for performing tasks related to various production molds, which may vary in complexity, and using approved samples and quality documents as guidelines during production. Meeting standards for efficiencies, scrap, and safety will be part of your daily accountability, and you will be expected to demonstrate the core values of Seaway Plastics, which include being customer-focused, executing tasks effectively, and fostering a respectful work environment.
