About the position

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards. This role involves maintaining cleanliness of equipment, performing minor mechanical troubleshooting, and documenting production processes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Pass required training and certifications for qualification.
• Perform lockout tagout as required by company standards.
• Operate multiple pieces of equipment including W25-1 & 2, Cryovac, L24, BIB, and fillers.
• Identify emergency stops and pinch points caused by moving machinery.
• Follow proper film cart loading and film roll loading procedures.
• Identify proper boxes, labels, and correct coding.
• Perform weight adjustments to maintain proper product weight.
• Work with team members to maintain standard changeovers and line efficiencies.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical issues.
• Document line production accurately, including inspection records and downtime sheets.
• Identify varying machine set-ups for proper operation.
• Disassemble, clean, rinse, and sanitize production equipment using proper processes.
• Assemble production equipment and document completed work as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing or warehouse required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.

Nice-to-haves
