Machine Operator

The Machine Operator position at Yellowstone Plastics involves operating a variety of machines and equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that products are manufactured according to established procedures and quality standards. The operator will be responsible for various tasks, including but not limited to operating machines such as Automat, Bailing, Labelling, Knitting, Lamination, Applicator, Slitting, Wicketer, Converting, Ink Technicians, and Print Press Assistants. The position requires a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety protocols while working in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the operator will monitor machines during operation to ensure they function correctly and will inspect finished products to verify they meet customer specifications. Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs will also be part of the job. The operator must maintain a clean and safe work area, participate in lean initiatives, and identify opportunities for efficiencies. The position may also involve performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in the role. The work schedule includes day and night shifts on a 3-4 rotation schedule, requiring the ability to work 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
