About The Position

This position involves maintaining equipment and making necessary machine adjustments to meet product quality standards. The role requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, and established safety rules and regulations. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate production records, performing quality inspection checks, and product safety checks at regular intervals throughout the shift. The job demands a people-oriented approach, as the candidate must work collaboratively with others to complete work assignments in a team environment and may need to direct others to complete tasks. Additionally, the role includes understanding and utilizing box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment, moving pallets, basic cleanup/sweeping, and assisting other positions as needed. The candidate will also perform sanitation of the work area and equipment as required and may assist in training for the position when needed. Dependability and flexibility to work overtime, different shifts, and weekends are essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; education beyond High School is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined and able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment assessments.
  • Ability to give and accept constructive criticism.
  • Responsible for maintaining a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter, easily motivated, and requires limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience is desirable.
  • Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience would be a plus.
