About The Position

The Converting Operator at Essity is responsible for operating production lines for towel or tissue products, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and efficient production processes. This role requires a skilled operator to manage machine performance, lead changeovers, and maintain communication with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older due to state law requirements.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum 12-hour rotating shift schedule, alternating between day and night shifts.
• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for 12 hours per day.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist as needed.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 40-50 pounds.
• Familiarity with hand tools and ability to read a tape measure to the sixteenth of an inch.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line for towel or tissue products according to specifications and standard operating procedures.
• Follow safety standards and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and coworkers.
• Monitor and maintain quality of products through visual and mechanical inspections.
• Lead changeovers and technical activities as needed.
• Order, prepare, and install raw materials on the machine as per SOPs.
• Maintain communication with previous and post-shift workers regarding machine performance.
• Ensure optimal housekeeping in the work area during shifts and transitions.
• Complete required documentation and data files for tracking purposes.
• Utilize Levels Program to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
