As we scale, we are hiring experienced Machine Operators to support the production of high‑precision insulation components used in high‑voltage equipment across the power grid. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical training, trade school certification, or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics, machine operation, or manufacturing technology
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating industrial machinery such as: Paper converting equipment Film/foil winding machines Slitters, laminators, or rewinders Transformer coil winding or similar precision winding equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to independently set up and optimize equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routings, BOMs, and work instructions
  • High attention to detail, quality focus, and cost awareness
  • Confident use of SAP or similar ERP systems for production tracking
  • Dependable, safety‑focused, and effective in a team‑oriented manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust manual, semi‑automatic, and PLC‑controlled converting or winding equipment according to production orders and work instructions
  • Configure and optimize machine parameters such as speed, tension, width, alignment, and cut length
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, BOMs, and production specifications
  • Perform precision converting/winding using paper, crepe, film, laminates, insulation tapes, and other specialty materials
  • Load, align, and secure materials on mandrels, shafts, cores, or tubes with accuracy
  • Conduct in‑process and final inspections to verify dimensions, surface quality, and compliance
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools
  • Complete production reporting in SAP, including confirmations, quantities, scrap, and labeling
  • Cut, secure, tape, and label finished components following SOPs and safety requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues such as material feed problems, tension variation, wrinkling, telescoping, and machine performance
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments to minimize downtime
  • Report deviations and support root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA standards and lockout/tagout requirements
