About The Position

New Flyer is seeking a motivated and skilled Machine Operator for our 2nd shift to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce high-quality components for our transit buses. Your expertise will ensure that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday. Competitive pay! Requirements

  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications, blueprints, and instructions.
  • Knowledge of machine operation, setup, and maintenance is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and adjust to changing production priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machinery in accordance with production requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and quality of production.
  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products and document findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot any issues.
