Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation manufactures aircraft batteries. Pretty cool, right? We think so. We opened the doors at our Georgia facility in 2014, located just outside of west Atlanta. Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is hiring for the position of a Grid Casting Machine Operator. Successful candidate will operate multiple machines in the casting department. Successful candidate will follow company environmental, health, and safety policies including wearing proper PPE. Candidate will strive to meet department and company goals, and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.

Requirements

Basic degree or high school education
Read, write and speak English
Punctual and reliable
Must complete pre-employment physical/drug screen
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work a 4/10 schedule, start time 5:30AM
Must be able to work in a hot environment (>100 degrees Fahrenheit)
Must be able to reach, carry, bend/stoop, push/pull
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must be able to read numbers and letters

Responsibilities

Follow oral and/or written instructions
Adjust machine speed for optimum quality product and production rates
Spray grid mold to meet quality specifications
Report production numbers at end of shift
Making coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Working with and around hazardous materials
