About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st Shift at their Reno, NV facility. The core hours are 5:45am to 2:15pm, with potential for mandatory overtime. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73, with final salaries based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. The role involves understanding and proficiently operating assigned machines/presses, troubleshooting machinery problems, identifying and tagging tubs according to shop orders, performing quality control and documenting parts, retrieving and entering data into SAP, inventorying components and supplies, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
• Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
• Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
• Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
• Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience with forming or bending machines.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• Quality control and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Maintain a clean work area and tend to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
