About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must have at least 3 months of machine operator experience within the last 6 months listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 3 months).
Must be able to read, write and complete necessary paperwork.
All applicants must provide their Social Security Number on their application.
Candidates who have worked 3 or more times with Tyson Foods will not be considered.
Rehires will have a waiting period of 90 days before they will be considered for a position at this facility.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc.
Oversee machine operations and makes minor equipment adjustments.
Performs metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections and must be able to read, write and complete necessary paperwork.
May perform basic maintenance on machines.
Contacts Maintenance Mechanic if necessary.
Interacts with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation.
May be responsible for machine adjustments when production changeovers occur.
Will work on production line and ensure product standard.
Provides assistance to lower-level team members and may train new or recently promoted team members.
