Machine Operator
About The Position
POSITION SUMMARYMatthews International is seeking a qualified Machine Operator to work in our Production Facility in the Richmond, IN area for our memorialization business segment. The Machine Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of production machinery for Matthews International for our Metal Casket Production facility. This position will start at 5am, Monday - Friday with some overtime available daily. Competitive Starting Rate of $18-hourly plus full benefits starting day one which includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Near site clinic, Flexible Saving Account (FSA), short and long term disability (after 90 days), life insurance, earned time off (starts accruing immediately), 401(k) retirement plan with company match and employee stock purchase plan.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and ability to read production documents.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Working with production supervisors and operating various hand and power tools and/or operating equipment to meet production schedules.
- Ensuring parts and assemblies meet production specifications.
- Performing end of shift cleaning and maintenance on equipment.
- You will have the opportunity to cross training in other departments and equipment.
- Additional duties as assigned.
