Background: The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating various types of production machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operations, high-quality output, and adherence to product specifications. Machine Operators follow established procedures to perform tasks accurately and on time, maintain a clean and professional workspace, troubleshoot equipment issues, monitor product quality, and coordinate with quality and material handling teams to support efficient line operations.

Requirements

  • Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Working knowledge of production machinery and equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Results-driven, dependable, and self-motivated work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to operational and maintenance issues
  • Experience performing quality control checks and completing required production reporting
  • Ability to train or assist other employees as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions in English
  • Basic math skills required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production operations

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload raw materials into production machinery to maintain continuous and efficient operations
  • Inspect finished products at regular intervals to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met
  • Accurately complete required production reports and data entries in a timely manner
  • Start up production lines and verify proper machine setup and functionality
  • Set up, adjust, and calibrate machinery in accordance with production specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Verify incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and readiness for production use
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues during operation to minimize downtime
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and material handling teams to support efficient workflow
