About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator at our growing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations, a recognized leader in refurbishment of aero-engine and Industrial Gas Turbine airfoils, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is available on both the first shift weekend (6:00 a.m. – 6:30 pm). Machine operation on a variety of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and manual machines to restore aero-engine turbine airfoil components to their original form, fit, and function. Set up and operate basic machine tools to repair, make minor alterations and make the less complicated tooling while maintaining acceptable quality levels, including making minor offset changes (if required) with oversight. Read blueprints and work from written and verbal instructions. Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specification(s) Perform preventative maintenance, service and repair equipment associated with the area where problems are identified and document results. Document information on check sheets, dimensional data on run charts and complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize communication log. The person in this position will frequently move about the machine line in order to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time). Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds. Perform unrelated duties as may be necessary to support the needs of the facility.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP

Responsibilities
