About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 1st shift at our Reno, NV facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Requirements

No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV to be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

Ability to operate machinery and presses safely
Ability to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material
Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision
Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
Six (6) + months of experience with forming or bending machines
Six (6) + months of experience reading drawings or blueprints

Responsibilities

Proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
Troubleshoot various machinery problems
Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
QC and document all parts run on machines
Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
Keep work areas clean and safe
Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
