About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 1st shift at our Reno, NV facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Requirements

  • No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV to be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

  • Ability to operate machinery and presses safely
  • Ability to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
  • Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material
  • Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
  • Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
  • Six (6) + months of experience with forming or bending machines
  • Six (6) + months of experience reading drawings or blueprints

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
  • Troubleshoot various machinery problems
  • Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
  • QC and document all parts run on machines
  • Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
  • Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
  • Keep work areas clean and safe
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
