Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience as a machine operator, specifically with mill machines.
Familiarity with machining tools, including the drill press, and the ability to perform basic machine set-up and programming.
Strong mathematical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of quality control principles and experience with precision measurement tools.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage the standard mill machine with a high degree of proficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand the specifications and tolerances of the finished product.
Adjust and set up machinery for specific jobs, including selecting the appropriate tools and materials.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and routine repairs on the mill machine to ensure optimal performance.
Use a drill press and other machinery to perform secondary operations as required.
Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and company standards.
Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.
Manage materials inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Record production data and machine operation logs for quality assurance and efficiency analysis.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with machinery advancements and best practices.
