About The Position

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To safely operate Slitter equipment and produce high quality products ensuring customer specifications are met. WORK PERFORMED: Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies Safely loads & unloads mill rolls using the hoist & walk behind lift systems Accurately pack and labels finished products Performs all necessary quality checks and documents results Operation and understanding of basic machine controls on at least one type of Slitter Troubleshoots and corrects basic line issues. May need assistance for complex issues Accurately and safely sets razor slitting knives to work order specified widths Properly sets and hooks up rewind arms and rider rolls, to required roll width Performs basic set-up of edge guide system and troubleshoots basic problems Keeps accurate records of basic operations, including production, downtime and waste Performs miscellaneous tasks as needed by Supervisor Maintains housekeeping Demonstrates capability of completing 1-week and 30-day expectations checklist

Requirements

Minimum 3 months as Operator in Training
Meets production goals on consistent basis for one (1) Slitting Machine (66% of time)
No written warnings or attendance while in this position
Basic understanding of JDE system
Demonstrates ability to complete Work Order completions in JDE
Demonstrates Work Order issues
Demonstrates ability to do inventory transfers
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates some organizational skills and attention to details
Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures.
Communicates and works well with other team members
Good mathematical skills
Continuous learning will be expected
Able to work overtime as required
