About The Position
Machine Operator – Day Shift (Extruder Operator) 📍 Fife, WA 💵 Starting Pay: $22–$25/hr ⏰ Schedule: 2–2–3 Rotating 🌙 Hours: 6 AM – 6 PM Join the Milgard Team & Operate with Precision! Requirements
- Associate degree/technical school certificate or 6–12 months of related experience
- Valid forklift certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures
- Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, bar graphs)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort following detailed instructions
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment
Responsibilities
- Operating 1–3 PVC extrusion lines to meet production and quality standards
- Safely disassembling, cleaning, rebuilding, and changing over extrusion tooling using overhead cranes
- Performing visual inspections and taking precise measurements with calipers
- Keeping your work area clean and organized—spray down equipment, sweep floors, remove debris
- Completing productivity reports, machine condition updates, bundle tickets, and work orders
- Assisting with packaging and forklift operations as needed
