Machine Operator
About The Position
Sika is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Machine Operator is responsible for Supporting a PLC controlled 120 wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line. Salary Range: $20 - $22/hour with a 10% shift differential based on education, experience and qualifications of the applicant. The operation will include set up, operation, breakdown and cleaning of all components, and the development of proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields Safe operation of forklifts to transport materials to workstations. Ensure proper quality review of the product on workstations assigned. Follow all company policies, including environmental policy and notify supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production highly desirable
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communications skills
- Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
- Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification

- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production highly desirable
