This role is responsible for safely operating a variety of machines, with a focus on stamping presses and hobbing as well as other equipment used in our production process.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and related documentation.
  • Solid understanding of production equipment or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new machinery.
  • Strong analytical abilities and effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA and environmental regulations, with the ability to comply with all requirements.
  • High Schol Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience required.
  • Valid Driver's Licence required.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to traverse production facility and climb ladders.
  • Manual dexterity for assembly and machine operation.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for daily production and quality control parts manufactured on the hobbing, forming or lockbar stamping press and simple die changes.
  • Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform quality checks on hobbed parts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Able to maintain required efficiency rates.
  • Able to set up forming and lock bar stamping tools.
  • General housekeeping of work area.
  • Observe all safety requirements.
  • Employee must show up to work on time and be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to operate forklift and pallet jack.
