About The Position

This position is for a Machine Operator at AAM, a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier. AAM designs, engineers, and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies for electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles. The role involves performing responsibilities in an assigned production area, focusing on meeting production targets and quality goals. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Requires a minimum of 1-year experience in manufacturing operations

Nice To Haves

2 years’ experience preferred in manufacturing operations

Responsibilities

Meet production targets, and quality goals
Understand Lockout Tagout
Understand Quality Documents (Deviations, CARs, Travelers, Work Instructions)
Perform inspection requirements, complete production records
Operate preliminary and finish Deflash, Robotic and CNC Deflash machines
Maintain rotary chucks, cutters, belts, etc
Start-up and Shut down of the rotary grinder
Adjust sizes / change belts
Changes tools and preset
Load shot peener
Changeover finish equipment
Understand the machine controls
Cross train in department and plant to perform a variety of manufacturing duties
Work in a safe manner always and complies with 5S initiatives
Understand and execute NCM (Non-conforming material) Process
Understanding and execute SDS (Safety Data Sheets) System/Labeling
Understand and execute WI (Work Instructions) location
