This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $22.25 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Palmdale, FL! 2nd Shift 6 pm - 6:30 pm The Night Shift Machine Operator will be working at a Scott's production facility operating various machines associated with the production of mulch and soil products. What you’ll do in this role: Set up and operate machinery associated with product packaging Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis Maintain activity logs/downtime paperwork Operate forklifts to transport materials Work within the guidelines of all safety procedures Actively maintain good housekeeping standards assigned to your area Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision Ensure product quality by conducting a periodic quality checklist All other duties assigned What you’ll need to be successful: High School diploma or equivalent. Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions Valid U.S. driver's license Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day. Requirements
