GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Machine Operator is responsible for configuring, loading and operating of equipment for safe and efficient production of quality parts using CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Day or night shifts available, 12 hrs/day, 3-4 days/wk. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Identifies, troubleshoots, and asks for help to resolve issues with equipment, devices, or products. Follows instructions, documented processes, and training procedures to accurately produce parts that meet quality standards. Uses precision instruments to measure and verify quality production of parts per specification. Ensures compliance with Global Polymer safety practices by wearing PPE and following specific job hazard controls. Offers suggestions for productivity improvement and workflow processes. Maintains quality specifications and quantity output and is accountable for both. Monitors machines and equipment used for problems and requests help with issues. Cleans machinery and maintains a clean work area. Conducts sorting activities to count and verify items. Performs other duties as assigned.
