About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Mchine Operator - 2nd Shift to join our team on Lincoln Ave. in Waukesha, WI! The hourly rate for this position is $22.30 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium. The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm, Monday - Thursday and 1 pm - 9 pm on Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding. Bonus terms: Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 1st, 2026 to qualify. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. The Vacuum Bell Operator will operate multiple vacuum chambers, including all moves in and out, electrical connections, thermocouple placement, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

  • Requires the ability to climb a 15-foot vertical ladder to check for foaming, oil level, etc. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Knowledge of standard shop specifications (drawings, blueprints, process sheets, etc.)
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes input data from the computer for the bell cycle and determines if adjustments are required to allow for proper heating and vacuum process cycles to occur.
  • Determines the run sequence and load per bell, based on unit specification and bell capabilities, to maximize throughput.
  • Moves transformer to vacuum chamber for drying. Makes electrical connection for drying cycle per engineering instructions.
  • Determines if units are sufficiently dry based on unit criteria and blip levels.
  • Fills tanks to required level and checks for leaks.
  • Unloads units, preps for final test, and moves to final test queuing area.
  • Loads and unloads the pre-heater
  • Use cranes, material handling equipment, and small hand tools
