About The Position

Plastipak in Champaign is growing & hiring. We manufacture packaging for products you use every day. Our facility is extremely clean, safe & climate-controlled. Joining us as a Machine Operator is a great way to get started with Plastipak. Shift: Nights 6:45pm – 7:15 am Standard rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off Includes 2 long-weekends every month Full time schedules are 15 working days a month Pay: Earn $19.50 per hour $18.50 per hour Plus $1.00 more for night shift differential We Offer Consistent Work Schedules Job Security Safe, Clean & Climate-Controlled Facility Promotion Opportunities

Requirements

• Mechanical ability.
• You like working with your hands, fixing things, etc.
• Dependability & pride in a job well-done.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machines & equipment.
• Pull products with defects.
• Pack products for distribution.
• Keep equipment clean.
• Learn new skills through ongoing training.
