About The Position

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Operator is responsible for the shift activities related to the operation of injection blow molding and stretch blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment. The Operator is also responsible for quality inspections including attributes and basic dimensional checks.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Able to read and write.
  • Pass drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Able to work continuous operation schedule (days/nights/weekends).
  • Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime, if required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and position SOP’s
  • Record keeping and general administrative duties.
  • Participation in team activities and team meetings.
  • Active participation in problem solving initiatives.
  • Able to be trained and to train others.
  • Maintenance of cleanliness of plant and facility.
  • Advancement in job skills.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Prior experience operating industrial machinery/equipment.
  • Maintain a safe clean work environment, to include but not limited to overall cleanliness and appearance of the machine area.
  • Monitor and maintain material handling systems.
  • Monitor molding process making necessary machine adjustments to ensure finished product specifications are met.
  • Perform required quality inspections (visual and dimensional).
  • Perform routine mold and machine preventive maintenance (lubrication, parts replacement, including operational adjustments).
  • Perform machine set ups for job changes.
  • Raw material batch control.
  • Administration of lot and batch control systems.
  • Assist the maintenance/setup department when possible if the machine is being repaired.
  • Attend any and all training classes provided by the company.
  • Must be punctual and have minimum attendance discrepancies.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Communication of quality issues to production personnel in a timely manner.
  • Prior experience operating industrial machinery/equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and perform the physical requirements related to the SOP’
