We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC This 2nd Shift Machine Operator sets up and operates machine tools such as compression molding presses, blenders, ovens, and routing machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tools
  • Must work according to safety policies and procedures
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Clear communication, both oral and written
  • Organization skills; keep area clean to 5S standards
  • Prior shop or mechanical experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Follows job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions, fixtures, and equipment settings.
  • Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder
  • Moves controls to position press and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and pressures.
  • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications
