They ensure machines run efficiently, meet production targets, and maintain high-quality standards while adhering to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to work occasional overtime with short notice when required.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and are expected to complete required tasks in a timely and organized manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience loading and unloading CNC Horizontal Mills (preferably Mazak)
- Mechanical work experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Produce quality parts and maintain production levels.
- Follow company safety practices to provide a safe work environment for all employees.
- Perform general housekeeping.
- Follow 5S Principles: Sort: Remove unnecessary items form the work area to maintain a clutter-free environment. Set in Order: Organize tools, materials, and equipment for easy access and efficient workflow. Shine: Keep the workplace clean and tidy, ensuring machines and work areas are free of deris and hazards. Standardize: Follow established procedures to maintain consistency in 5S practices across shifts. Sustain: Participate in regular audits and training to uphold 5S standards and promote continuous improvement.
- Report machine issues to proper individuals.
- Change tools and make offset adjustments as needed (Lathe Operation).
- Sort parts for defects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
