Wieland is hiring a Machine Operator . The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting and operating a pointing machine to prepare stock for the Bench operation. Performs the duties of loading, operating and unloading overhead crane to properly supply and remove tubing to production operations. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $19.06 to $20.21/hr for the 60-90 day training period, then $23.80 to $25.28/hr depending on the department/position. Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Training on 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm for estimated 2 to 4 weeks. Pay Schedule: Weekly

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, stand, squat throughout the shift
• Successfully complete “Crane Safety” training program
• Successful vision screening exam as prescribed by HR/Safety Department
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP’s and Quality Plan

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasks
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the “next customer” in a timely manner
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environment
• Performs the process of putting tubing through rinse, clean, soap, acid and/or bright dip operations using proper straps
• Maintains accurate records by posting and recording information as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets
• Set up pointer machine to execute proper point on tubing for bench operation
• Works from information on point included on traveler ticket and as furnished by supervision to determine correct point size and length
• Operates pointers as required
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine’s training evaluation form
• Operates overhead floor crane to properly supply and remove tubing to production operations as required
• Loads and unloads #355 gas anneal furnace and also controls heats and speeds on #355 furnace
• Able to work various overtime as business needs require
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed
