Background: As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate assigned packaging machines to pre-established line run speed. They will ensure to pack the optimum number of quality packages of product; Check that products are dated and sealed in accordance with all safety, SOPs and cGMP guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

High School degree or GED, desired.
Prior working knowledge in a manufacturing, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry, preferred.
Basic math and command of English reading and writing.
Fluent in English and Spanish desired.
Must be able to safely operate the machine for the intended purpose.
Must be able to keep up with the line speed of machinery.
Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require weekends, and/or working overtime during high demand.
Understand, follow, and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and adherence to defined procedures, safety rules and SOPs.
Ability to work in various weather/temperature conditions to include heat, humidity and cold.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and loud production environment.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Set-up and manage machines to perform at the desired, pre-established specifications.
Ensure machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
Provides direction to other line members and ensures smooth operation.
Responsible for completing Packaging Filling Records.
Visually inspect labels for defects and run samples.
Record all machine actions by completing production logs.
Produce High Quality finished goods (At All Times)
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Escalates quality, service, and equipment performance issues to supervision.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor which may become necessary to support departmental/organizational objectives.
