Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Machine Operator preferred
  • Understand basics of machine set up
  • Understand basic Quality Control standards
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions and possess simple arithmetic skills.
  • Must be able to read tape measure
  • Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy factory work.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Machine programming a big plus
  • Lock Out/Tag Out Certification, preferred
  • Prior factory experience is preferred.
  • Prior sheet metal experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, multi-tasking, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Positive, collaborative, and open-minded attitude.
  • Self-motivated, responsible and requires minimal direction.
  • Ability to apply good judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Effective professional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well and effectively communicate with office and factory personnel.
  • Can represent themselves, the department and the company in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Operate presses and other large machinery

  • Salvagnini S4/P4
  • Press Brake/Backup operator
  • Handling of heavy and sharp metals and operating powerful hydraulic presses on a regular basis.
  • Perform production tasks requiring repetitive hand movements.
  • Assemble parts using appropriate hand tools, such as air guns, power drills and power screw drivers.
  • Clean parts and finished models to remove oils and residues from inside and outside of unit.
  • Must be physically able to stand for up to 12 hours of the workday on a cement floor.
  • Prolonged use of vibrating and air-powered (pneumatic) tools, sustained overhead lifting activities, prolonged or sustained repetitive grasping and/or gripping with hands, and sustained repetitive bending of the wrists.
  • Lift and move materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds as needed for production.
  • Perform other production duties as assigned and instructed by supervisor.
  • Work in a team environment and maintain professional communication.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Team members are required to follow all company safety rules, wear safety glasses, ear plugs and other necessary safety equipment to prevent injuries. Team members are also required to follow all plant/work rules and supervisory instructions. Team members must be able to move to any part of the plant where needed to maintain production. Assignments are made on an hourly or daily basis as necessary to meet production requirements.
