About The Position

Nippon Light Metal Georgia, Inc. (NLM) is seeking Day and Night Shift Machine Operators to join their rapidly growing company located in Adairsville, Georgia. As the company is in its start-up phase, this position offers an opportunity for candidates to be a key team member for the foundation of the company. NLM is a comprehensive manufacturer of aluminum products, with diverse offerings ranging from aluminum raw material to fabricated products. Their goal is to achieve further growth and business expansion as a corporate group that continues to create new value for its customers. Machine Operators will be cross-trained on multiple machines and responsible for setting up and operating assigned machinery to prepare automobile parts throughout the process.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or a G.E.D.
• Previous experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Lock-out/tag-out procedures

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspection specific to each machine prior to starting shift and periodically throughout each shift
• Follow the production schedule set by Production Manager
• Contribute to the production of quality product by following all defined quality procedures
• Monitor the process to ensure proper equipment operation and output
• Notify supervisor and maintenance of any equipment issues
• Assist with troubleshooting when needed
• Maintain Safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment including a band saw, drill press, lathe and tensile tester.
