Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating packaging equipment in our refrigerated production environment. This role supports daily production by ensuring equipment runs efficiently while meeting food safety and quality standards. Make a greater impact at Bonduelle Americas! Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic math skills required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and work in multiple areas
  • Comfortable working in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24-hour production environment
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Hindi or French preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up packaging equipment (Hayssen bagger) according to product specifications
  • Complete pre-operation and shutdown checks
  • Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout production
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on packaging equipment and scales
  • Conduct quality checks, including bag appearance, weight, seals, lot numbers, and code dates
  • Inspect finished product for defects such as size, color, and overall quality
  • Reduce product waste by properly using scale systems and monitoring production efficiency
  • Ensure all products meet order and quality requirements
  • Follow all GMP, PPE, Safety, SQF, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines
  • Lift and handle forming tubes and film rolls (up to 50 lbs)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
