About The Position

As a Machine Operator at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries , in Blytheville, AR , you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production machinery in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys hands-on problem-solving, and takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards. Shift: 2nd Shift – 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM Pay: $25.78 per hour plus Production Incentive Bonus

Requirements

1+ year of machine operation experience , preferably in a manufacturing or tube mill environment.
Mechanical aptitude with ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
Basic computer proficiency to enter and retrieve work order information.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills , with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive motions.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a steel manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Technical School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation.
Perform equipment setups and changeovers for various tube and pipe mill sizes, gauges, and grades.
Inspect and maintain tooling and equipment to ensure proper operating condition and product quality.
Conduct quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring all specifications and standards are met.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Assist maintenance teams with basic preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
Maintain accurate production records and inventory documentation according to company procedures.
Follow all safety procedures and LOTO rules to promote a safe work environment.
Keep work areas clean and organized to support efficient operations and safety compliance.
