This Position reports to: Production Supervisor Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. Responsible for the production of molded products. You will be mainly accountable for: Safety Understands and follows plant safety and procedures. Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing. Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner. Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S. Participates in plant safety objectives. Job Functions Demonstrate ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly. Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned areas. Understand and follow plant safety and procedures. Responsible for all aspects of molding operations, i.e., work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision control Ensure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance. Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates. Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures. Keep track of approved, defective units and final product Ensure shift change is completed forms are completed with accurate and appropriate information. Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED is required
  • Ability to read and understand various written instructions in English
  • Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
  • Lift up to 40 Pounds
  • Stand for long periods
  • Good hand dexterity
  • Ability to speak and write in clear English communications
  • Strong math skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
  • Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
  • Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
