The Packer/Palletizer position involves a variety of essential functions that ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing process. The role requires proficiency in all Packer duties and the ability to complete all essential functions as outlined in the position description. Responsibilities include assisting in training new team members, rotating into positions as needed, conducting inspections and sanitation of equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and completing quality checks. The position also requires a working knowledge of JDE and Docushare, maintaining good run adjustments, and completing minor and major machine changeovers. Communication with the oncoming shift and maintaining compliance with 6S standards are also critical aspects of the role. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and the individual must be prepared to clean areas of the facility as needed to maintain cGMP standards.

  • Proficient in all Packer duties
  • Complete all essential functions listed in the Packer/Palletizer Position Description
  • Assist in training new team members, including Packers/Palletizers and new Entry Operators
  • Rotate into positions/lines as needed due to absences, breaks, etc.
  • Complete start of shift inspection/sanitation of equipment
  • Perform and/or participate in preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Complete quality checks as needed
  • Maintain good run adjustments, including print registration, label adjustments, substrate dimensions, and folds
  • Complete minor machine changeovers (film, label, paper, and box sizes)
  • Complete and/or participate in major changeovers
  • Communicate information to on-coming shift
  • Maintain 6S compliance
  • Wear PPE as required for the job
  • Clean any area of the facility as assigned or needed to maintain cGMP
  • Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and guidelines
  • Knowledge of manufacturing lines and processes
  • Good understanding of JDE to verify transactions and assist with corrections/cleanup
  • Must be in good standing with no recent attendance warnings
