About The Position

The Machine Operator position at BASF Corporation in Ames, IA, is a critical role within the Agricultural Solutions team. The operator will be responsible for the mixing and packaging of various raw materials to produce high-quality finished products for shipment. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate various mixing, filling, and packaging equipment including liquid filling machines, bulk powder blenders, induction mixers, and pumps.
• Follow production instructions to accurately weigh and add raw materials to batches.
• Maintain accurate batch and packaging documentation.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products, completing all finished good quality checks as required on production documentation.
• Assist and, when necessary, lead fellow operators.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Continually maintain plant and work environment for cleanliness and organization.
• Operate forklifts as required.
