Machine Operator

Adecco is hiring immediately for Machine Operators at a local client in Albion, IN. This role is essential as it involves working with one of our premier clients, offering competitive pay rates ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for overtime. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for tending to machines in three key machining departments on the shop floor: Forge, Rotary, and CNC. Occasionally, you may also be required to work in the Assembly or Deburring areas, depending on operational needs. In this position, you will perform a variety of essential functions. You will tend to machines and presses in the Forge, Rotary, or CNC Departments, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. It will be your responsibility to check for and file paperwork for completed jobs, make periodic visual and gauged quality checks, and complete all necessary quality paperwork and approvals. Additionally, you will pull Statistical Process Control (SPC) on incoming raw materials and maintain a high degree of quality and safety throughout your work. You will also be expected to provide operating instructions when needed and assist in training and instructing new trainees during their training period. The role requires the ability to use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding setups and operations within recognized procedures. You will proceed on work assignments with minimal supervision and assistance, demonstrating a proactive approach to your responsibilities. Physical demands include the ability to stand, sit, reach, bend, twist, and carry brass parts, as well as lifting an average of 40 lbs. during an 8-hour shift. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of their job duties.
