About The Position

The Machine Operator position operates manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line, and/or fills, caps, seals, labels or packages product. The operator is responsible for removing damaged product or supplies as needed, maintaining required product inspection processes, and performing basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience operating a pallet jack and fork lift
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Basic English (reading, writing, and verbal)
• Intermediate mathematical skills
• Experience working with high-speed production machinery
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical systems
• Ability to prepare documentation detailing work and process flows
• Ability to read and use standards of operations

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a Manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation
• Ensure package and product quality
• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
• Clean equipment and area during and after shift
• Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
• Expedite repairs to line; working with maintenance as necessary
• Keep daily records of down time and machine operations
• Perform other duties as needed to meet business demands
