About The Position

Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. As a part of Nucor's New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. The current production facility is in West Hazleton, PA, with greenfield sites going up in Decatur, AL and Crawfordsville, IN. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance and safety record
• Knowledge of basic machine functions
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience in a production environment.
• Open communication
• Understanding of machine setup and tear down.
• Use of HMIs
• Overhead crane experience
• Basic understanding of automation

Responsibilities

• Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area.
• Perform all of the following tasks: pressing, forming, milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations, as well as the inspection of them.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance duties.
• Report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team.
• Complete reports and answer inquiries, as requested or assigned.
• Accurately record all material usage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.
