Machine Operator - Tapping

We are looking for a skilled machine operator for our Tapping Department. Previous machine operation experience is preferred. Additionally, the candidate must be mechanically inclined. General Statement of Responsibilities Performs general production duties in a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, Elimination of Waste, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
Nice To Haves
- Previous machine operation experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operates Snow, Kaufman, Mass and Streicher Tapping Equipment, vision sorting and cell equipment.
- Operates measurement and test equipment required to ensure that quality requirements are met.
- Records statistical process control data, quality, safety, and preventative maintenance information
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Housekeeping.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and written instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performing tap changes.
- Training other employees.
- Troubleshooting on any operations.
- Operation of mobile equipment
- Minor periodic maintenance and lubrication
