About The Position

The Machine Operator (Sinico) 1st shift operates machines that finish the ends of pipes. These products are then sent to the next phases of the process. The operator is responsible for producing a quality product. The machines must be set properly for the right diameter and length of pipe. The Operator is responsible for communicating pipe needs to side loader Driver to keep machines running. The operator may be responsible for running multiple machines. The operator maintains a clean and safe machine and work area. The operator must change the tooling on the machines as needed to maintain the quality of the part. The operator must also perform required maintenance checks. All operators are responsible for keeping accurate production records, which are recorded in the computer planning system. If the computer system is down or the operator ran a special part, the records are handwritten on cards by the operator. The operator is responsible for meeting established production standards.

Requirements

Requires constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)
Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)
Requires repetitive twisting
Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist
Working with water soluble coolant
An awareness of exposed cuttings and moving parts on the machine
Lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Set the machine properly for the right diameter and length of pipe.
Responsible for communicating pipe needs to side loader Driver to keep machines running.
Operate multiple machines.
The operator must change the tooling on the machines as needed to maintain the quality of the part.
Maintain cleanliness of the machines and surrounding work area.
