About The Position

This position involves operating assigned machine(s) throughout the plant. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow all procedures while prioritizing job flow based on input from production planning and supervision. The operator must process work instructions, measure and record data on processes using various tools, and perform light maintenance on equipment. The position also involves reading and looking up routings, maintaining product traceability, and recognizing quality issues during the process. The operator will work closely with engineering support to identify opportunities for material and process improvement.

Requirements

  • High School education/GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines safely and follow all procedures.
  • Prioritize job flow based on input from production planning and supervision.
  • Process work instructions.
  • Measure and record data on processes using micrometer, vernier, caliper, ruler, scale, computer, etc.
  • Perform light maintenance of equipment.
  • Use supportive hand-tools.
  • Read/lookup routings, process sheets, and shop orders.
  • Maintain product traceability.
  • Maintain accuracy in alloy identification, order documentation, and data entry.
  • Recognize and communicate quality issues through the process.
  • Troubleshoot or problem-solve issues.
  • Work closely with engineering support to identify opportunities for material and process improvement.
  • Operate other machines as assigned.
  • Perform all other work assigned and overtime as needed.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $18.48 to $20.48 with a 105 Shift Differential.
  • Monday - Thursday schedule from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM.
  • 110 hours of annual PTO.
