About The Position

We are currently looking for a Production Machine Operator in production to join our VALUES-based organization to operate a CNC-type machine or other automated machinery for production in the assembly door units, including doubles, patios, cut-downs, with transoms and/or special hardware. This is NOT a forklift or PIT equipment position. In this role you will focus on: Specialty Building Products is the leading distributor of specialty building products in North America. Requirements

  • Experience operating a CNC-type machine or other automated machinery for production.
  • Must be able to read tape measure
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Read and understand English
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specialized carpentry tools helpful

Responsibilities

  • Operate a CNC-type machine or other automated machinery for production in the assembly door units.
  • Read work orders to assure accuracy of assembly
  • Make necessary repairs or adjustments to assure quality
  • Use power tools for special door prep
  • Computer skills
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Ability to identify most common doors and inserts
