About The Position

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for two Machine Operators (Production Associates) within our Manufacturing team to help support our business. Requirements

• Sufficient dexterity and mechanical understanding to operate an automated machine.
• Ability to understand instruction both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow construction blueprints and document ongoing processes with proper training.
• Sufficient aptitude to identify proper product quality.
• Ability to lift objects not to exceed 70 pounds and ability to roll drums weighing 500 pounds.
• Basic understanding of and full compliance with all standard safety practices.
• Willingness to be involved in ongoing skills improvement classes and efforts.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and their use.

Responsibilities

• Operate a molding machine to process molding of formed wire to form seating components.
• Produce quality product and identify product quality issues.
• Notify appropriate personnel to fix machine if necessary.
• Perform any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed.
• Troubleshoot molding problems.
• Start molding machines, set molds in machines, properly hang molds, and properly water molds.
• Change nozzles, nozzle tips, nozzle bands, and barrel bands.
