About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent, this position supports the Extrusion Department in all areas of production. This position supports various production machines, verifies they are running properly and safely; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
Ability to operate the injection mold machine and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and superiors.
Requires basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
Must have proficient forklift skills and become company forklift certified.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Injection Mold operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verifies that all production machines are running properly and safely.
Responsible for quality production runs.
Completes any required reports properly.
Observes machine while running.
Checks loader and unloader for raw materials
Operating injection mold machine
Adjust products as needed.
Operates batching system for quality products.
Keeps Injection Mold room clean.
Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
