The Machine Operator (Packer) is responsible for monitoring and inspecting machine parts to ensure that products meet customer and company requirements. This role involves operating injection molding or lining machines, performing quality inspections, and maintaining accurate records of production output. The operator plays a crucial role in ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards in a manufacturing environment.

  • Run Injection Molding or Lining machines.
  • Use product monitoring system effectively.
  • Monitor quality of machine output.
  • Complete any assigned re-inspection work.
  • Grind non-conforming product at machine.
  • Keep accurate records/paperwork according to established recordkeeping procedures.
  • Perform quality inspection every two hours and record it in the Automated Data Collection System (Light-House).
  • Perform any other assigned duties.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF, and other regulatory requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Proven ability to operate all production machines in the department.
  • Ability to monitor quality of machine output.
  • Good housekeeping skills.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and routine lifting (up to 35 pounds).
  • Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects.
  • Ability to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
